Hey!
How’s it going?
I’m Justin.

Ok, if you’re here then you’re interested in me in a professional sense.

You want to know a few things about me. Like my background, skill sets and why I would be a good fit for your team or organization.

Cool Cool, I got you.

Background

I’ve lived a few lives, professionally.

Currently
My design career began with me earning my Masters degree from SCAD. I then worked at Fjord where I grew my skills at Human Centered Design and Content Design, working on both Service Design and Digital Products.

Before design
I was a Journalist & Photographer for twelve years and a fitness coach for nearly ten.

Both of which do play a part into my approach to design and using empathy to tell people’s stories.

Skill sets

What I really excel at?

  • Making sense of complex or ambiguous data

  • Synthesizing data into clear, compelling narratives

More of my skillset

  • User-centered design

  • Map journeys, services, processes

  • Product prototyping

  • Facilitate design workshops

  • Ethnographic research, field studies

  • User interviews, observations, focus groups

  • User archetypes, personas, job stories

  • Content Strategy

  • IA, Site maps, priority guides

  • Nomenclature design

My ideal fit

Where user advocacy is a priority
To me, the power of design is it's ability to bring material change for people. I need to be a part of a team that feels the same.

Where learning & teaching is key
I’m equally obsessed with learning and teaching. A healthy, mature design studio has continuous learning at its core.

Where the best idea wins
Having the courage to explore the best possible solution has lead me to success.

On a personal note

I grew up in Maui, giving me a lifelong love for the ocean

Oh, you want to know more than just my professional life?

I’m not comfortable talking about myself, especially not on the web. But, here’s a few things to know about me.

I’m an obsessive fan of Atlanta United (Vamos Atlanta!)

I’m a new dad, a role I am so proud to play
